Siafu computer

Nowadays many scientists try to find a way to return vision to blind people. If they succeed, it will be one of the greatest achievements. Meanwhile PC producers, taking into consideration the fact that blind people can not use modern technologies, decided to create something that will improve and diversify their everyday life.

Given gadget named Siafu represents a personal computer designed to give people with vision loss a more intuitive computer experience. The designer of this wonderful device is Jonathan Lucas. It looks like a flat tablet that allows the user to fully interact with it by simple touching. The surface of the device utilizes a conceptual material called magneclay or magnetized liquid. This material has the ability to morph upward into any shape via a controlled electromagnetic field enabling the device to create a Braille (a system of writing for the blind consisting of raised dots that can be interpreted by touch) surface for reading and even pictures in 3D relief.

The main technology used in Siafu - Magneclay - represents an oil based synthetic agent that possesses limitless morphing capabilities. It has a loose molecular structure but can be infinitely rearranged when acted upon by electrical and magnetic charges. As long as the charges acting upon it remain stable, the magneclay will hold its structural rigidity, allowing it to be touched without deformation.

In addition to that Siafu’s magneclay surface can generate full spread Braille layouts, allowing users to enjoy reading digital content in a large book style relief. The surface of the gadget can form a working 9-button Braille keyboard. The Braille output allows the user to conveniently review what they just typed.

Moreover Siafu possesses a built-in microphone, which provides an alternative to typing. Its high performance voice recognition software allows the user to simply speak into the microphone, and the words are instantly appeared on the screen Braille relief.

But that's not the half of it. Given gadget also has the ability to display screen images such as web pages. It can even go one step further and convert all the active text on the screen into translated Braille relief. Device utilizes 2D to 3D image conversion technology to process screen images. It then generates a 3-Dimensional digital wire frame which is then processed through electrical currents into the magneclay. The end result is a highly accurate 3-Dimensional representation of the image.

Unbelievable gadget, isn't it?

HereAfter PC

GadgTechWorld.blogspot.com

Everybody likes the idea of an ultra portable personal computer in the shape of a bracelet because they can wear it on their wrists without feeling they are carrying it.

Many designers are trying to create PC concepts to fulfill the needs of all types of people targeting most of the market sectors.
Heartfarer PC

I don’t find its name very attractive or suggestive but Heartfarer is one of the concepts adopting the idea of a mobile handset wearable on the wrist and compared with other designs, it seems more practical, smaller and stylish.
Heartfarer PC
It would really look good on anyone’s wrist, and that counts a lot, in my opinion.

The main functions of Heartfarer are the GPS geotagging and tracking so you can share with others pictures and videos tagged with the location they were taken, the time, date and other details.

When you’re in a new place while traveling you can receive what others have geotagged there and discover new nature secrets interesting enough to make you visit them.
Heartfarer PC

This PC concept is meant to get rid of the limitation of time and place allowing the user to see images from different seasons showing various scenes captured by strangers.

In the designer’s view, Heartfarer would measure about 5 x 35 x 2 cm and comes with functions like mobile phone, multimedia device, touch-sensitive flexible display on its entire surface, and voice commands based on voice recognition software.
Heartfarer PC

It can also detect which of your friends are in the close proximity, similar with the FluxPC and Harmonious, and alert you by displaying some details about him/her, while offering you the possibility to send them songs or other media if they are using the same computer model.

The flexible display can take any appearance you choose: it can get all black or it can imitate a stainless steel bracelet.
Heartfarer PC

We could see things from another angle if we like. For example it can be used by advertising dealers as a business model via which the user receives free hardware and service.

And to end the description, I will add that Heartfarer’s built-in camera is rotatable at 360 degrees and is exactly the bracelet’s lock.

Microsoft Surface Computer

The Microsoft Surface Computer Is Look Like A Super Computer !!!!!

Microsoft Surface (Codename: Milan), is a Multi-touch product from Microsoft which is developed as a software and hardware combination technology that allows a user, or multiple users, to manipulate digital content by the use of natural motions, hand gestures, or physical objects.

Surface is essentially a Windows Vista PC tucked inside a table, topped with a 30-inch reflective surface in a clear acrylic frame. A projector underneath the surface projects an image onto its underside, while five cameras in the machine's housing record reflections of infrared light from human fingertips. The camera can also recognize objects placed on the surface if those objects have specially-designed "tags" applied to them. Users can interact with the machine by touching or dragging their fingertips and objects such as paintbrushes across the screen, or by placing and moving tagged objects. Surface has been optimized to respond to 52 touches at a time. During a demonstration with a reporter, Mark Bolger, the Surface Computing group's marketing director, "dipped" his finger in an on-screen paint palette, then dragged it across the screen to draw a smiley face. Then he used all 10 fingers at once to give the face a full head of hair.

Specification Of Surface :

  • Surface is a 30-inch (76 cm) display in a table-like form factor, 22 inches (56 cm) high, 21 inches (53 cm) deep, and 42 inches (107 cm) wide.
  • The Surface tabletop is acrylic, and its interior frame is powder-coated steel.
  • The software platform runs on a custom version of Windows Vista and has wired Ethernet 10/100, wireless 802.11 b/g, and Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity.
  • Surface applications are written using either Windows Presentation Foundation or Microsoft XNA technology.
At Microsoft's MSDN Conference, Bill Gates told developers of "Maximum" setup the Microsoft Surface was going to have:

• Intel Core Quad Xeon "WoodCrest" @ 2.66GHz
• 4GB DDR2-1066 RAM
• 1TB 7200RPM Hard Drive

It has a custom motherboard form factor about the size of two ATX motherboards.
